Reinforcement Modification

Glass-fiber reinforced PBT (GF-PBT) is a widely used modified PBT that enhances its strength, rigidity, and toughness. Depending on the application, the fiber content can range from 10% to 50%, resulting in materials suitable for automotive, electronic, and power tool industries. Flame-retardant Modification

In the case of fire, PBT may release toxic gases and halogens, which could cause harm to humans and the environment. To prevent this, PBT can be modified with flame-retardant additives such as aluminum trihydrate (ATH), phosphorous, or nitrogen compounds. The resulting flame-retardant PBT (FR-PBT) provides excellent mechanical properties along with a high level of safety.
