Phenolic resin Phenolic resin is used as a binder in phenolic molding plastics, and the basic requirements for resin are :1. Can meet the specific performance requirements of molded products; 2. It should have good flow characteristics, that is, it is in a solid or semi-solid state at normal temperature and pressure. Under pressing conditions, it has good fluidity, so that the mold material is evenly filled with the mold cavity; 3. Suitable curing speed, less by-products in the curing process, good process (such as good miscibility with various solvents).
Reinforcement materials Reinforcement materials play a skeleton role. The main use of fiber reinforced materials, in addition, there are also the use of short fiber felt, fiber fabric or rope as reinforcement materials. Fiber reinforced materials are cut wire, untwisted roving, twisted yarn, high silica fiber, carbon fiber, asbestos fiber, nylon fiber, arnylon fiber.
Auxiliary agents Auxiliary agents include glass fiber surface treatment agents, fillers, diluents, release agents and pigments. Glass fiber surface treatment agent is used to improve the bonding between resin and reinforcement material and the interface state between resin and fiber. For phenolic molding plastics, the commonly used glass fiber surface treatment agent is KH-550. Fillers are mainly powder fillers, used to improve the fluidity of molded plastics, reduce the shrinkage of molded products, improve the surface gloss of products, the uniformity of product quality and give products with some special properties. Thinner is used to reduce the viscosity of the resin and improve the impregnation performance of the resin.
