Molding Method | The processing should go through the following three steps: pre - foaming, storage, and molding. |
Pre - foaming | Pass steam through Taida EPS beads. Heat to make the particle volume expand approximately 50 - 90 times. Batch or continuous operation can be used during heating. The expansion ratio of the beads is related to factors such as the type of pre - foaming equipment used, steam, and heating time. Therefore, to make the beads foam to a certain extent, tests must first be carried out to find the most appropriate conditions. (Steam pressure 0.2 - 1.0 kg/cm²) |
Storage | The pre - foamed beads should be stored at room temperature for about 24 hours (at least 6 hours or more). During this period, the excess water inside and outside the foamed beads has evaporated, and air has also penetrated into the voids of the pre - foamed beads. This will be helpful for subsequent processing and molding. |
Molding | The pre - foamed beads after storage can be molded by manual, semi - automatic, or fully automatic molding machines. First, introduce low - pressure steam during molding to blow away the air between the beads. Then gradually increase the steam pressure to 0.5 - 1.0 kg/cm² to make the pre - foamed beads form in the mold. Finally, pass water or use vacuum pumping, and take out the molded product after cooling. |
