Product's main characteristics:

1. Low viscosity PVB resin that is suitable for flexo and gravure printing, has good adhesion to polyolefins, metal, cellulose acetate, polyester, cellophane paper, polyamide and polystyrene film;

 

2. Low viscosity PVB resin as the foundation of the printing ink shows a low solvent resistance, good liquidity, good waterproof, which could be independently used as the basic resin, and could be used together with alcohol soluble nitrocellulose,  condensation resin, alkyd resin, maleic resin and other natural polymer;

3. Dissolve under normal temperature (25 ºC ), the dissolution time is 30 minutes or less, this characteristic has greatly increased the ink's solubility;

4. Low viscosity PVB resin has good wettability and pigment dispersion;

5. Non-toxic, tasteless, odorless, no aromatic element, no heavy metal, no plasticizer, is the first choice of resin for environment friendly printing ink.

APPLICATION

1. Ink Industry
Due to the low viscosity PVB resin's excellent wetting and dispersing properties for pigments and fillers, as well as its outstanding adhesion to materials such as PET, PA, paper, and plastics, it is widely used in flexographic and gravure printing inks. Additionally, PVB can be dissolved in environmentally friendly solvents (ethanol) and has found extensive applications in high-end food packaging, water-soluble ink for paper, ceramic printing inks, and whiteboard marker ink systems.
2. Coatings Industry
PVB is characterized by high bonding strength, cold resistance, oil resistance, corrosion resistance, and good waterproof properties, making it suitable for:
1. Metal Primers: PVB has a strong affinity for metal surfaces and good adhesion to various surface coatings, making it commonly used for metal surface treatment, resulting in coatings with excellent insulation and wear resistance.
2. Waterproof Coatings: Waterproof paints containing PVB achieve good waterproof effects and can be used to manufacture tents, outerwear, food bags, etc.
3. Two-Component Paints: Due to its excellent compatibility and the presence of active hydroxyl groups, PVB reacts with urea-formaldehyde, phenolic, and polyisocyanate resins to form extremely stable films, suitable for two-component paints.
4. Additionally, PVB is also commonly used in varnishes, powder coatings, alcohol-based casting coatings, and peelable coatings.
3. Adhesives Industry
PVB contains hydroxyl, aldehyde, and acetyl groups, allowing it to be formulated into high-viscosity adhesives. Its miscibility with alkyd and phenolic resins further enhances bonding performance, leading to its widespread use in bonding wood, glass, metal, ceramics, leather, fiberglass, rubber, and other laminated materials, earning it the title of "universal adhesive" in the industry.
4. Resin Bonded Abrasives Industry
PVB is a thermoplastic linear polymer and serves as an ideal adhesive and toughening agent for resin-bonded abrasives. By modifying phenolic resins with PVB, brittleness can be reduced, and bonding capacity can be increased.
