1. Basic characteristics
High rigidity&high strength: mechanical properties close to metal, suitable for replacing lightweight metal components.
Wear resistance&low friction: Excellent self-lubricating properties, suitable for friction components such as gears and bearings.
Fatigue resistance: not easily deformed or broken under repeated stress.
Dimensional stability: low moisture absorption rate, small deformation under temperature changes.
Chemical resistance: resistant to oil, solvents, weak acids/bases, but not strong acids/strong oxidants.
Temperature range:- 40 ° C to 100 ° C (can tolerate higher temperatures in the short term).
2. Types of POM
Homoformaldehyde (POM-H):
High crystallinity, stronger rigidity, but slightly poorer thermal stability.
Polyoxymethylene (POM-C) copolymer:
Better thermal stability, stronger alkali resistance, and more balanced overall performance (mainstream application type).
