Polypropylene (PP) is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic.High impact resistance, strong mechanical properties, resistance to a variety of organic solvents and acid and alkali corrosion.
It is widely used in industry and is one of the common polymer materials.Australian coins are also made of polypropylene. The modified materials are more widely used and can meet more and higher requirements.

PP plastic reinforced with glass fiber
Glass fiber reinforced PP is on the basis of the original pure PP, adding glass fiber and other additives, so as to improve the scope of use of materials. Generally speaking, most of the glass fiber reinforced materials are used in the structural parts of the product, which is a kind of structural engineering material.

Advantages:
1.The heat resistance temperature of reinforced plastic is much higher than before without glass fiber.
2.The mutual movement between the polymer chains of plastic is limited, therefore, the shrinkage rate of reinforced plastic decreases a lot, and the rigidity is greatly improved.
3.PP plastic will not stress cracking, at the same time, the impact resistance of PP improved a lot.
4.After reinforced,which greatly improves the strength of PP, such as tensile strength, compressive strength and bending strength.
5.The combustion performance of PP plastic decreases a lot, flame retardant becomes difficult.

 

 

PP has a variety of applications. It is suitable for multiple processing methods such as injection molding, extrusion molding and blow molding and is widely used in the textile, packaging,electrical household appliances, automobile and real estate industries.

(1) Injection molded products: Polypropylene injection molded products are widely used in small household appliances, daily necessities, toys, washing machines, automobiles, and turnover boxes.
(2) Weaving products, such as plastic woven bags, tarpaulins, and ropes, are mainly used for packaging food, fertilizers, and cement.
(3) Film products: such as BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene) film, which has the advantages of light weight, transparency, non toxicity, moisture resistance, and high mechanical strength, are widely used in the packaging of food, medicine, daily light industry, cigarettes and other products.
(4) Fiber products: Polypropylene fiber (PP) is used in the fields of decoration, industry, and clothing, and is the second largest variety of synthetic fibers.
(5) Pipe material: Polypropylene pipe material is heat-resistant, easy to connect, and can be used for building water supply systems, heating systems, agricultural water supply systems, and chemical pipeline systems
